COLLEGE:

  • Played four seasons (2018-21) at Michigan and totaled 160 tackles (84 solo), 28.0 tackles for loss, 18.5 sacks, nine pass defenses, four forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He set the Michigan single-season sack record with 14.0 sacks in 2021 during his Heisman Trophy runner-up season.
  • 2021: Started in all 14 games, registering 62 tackles (36 solo), 16.5 tackles for loss, a school-record 14.0 sacks, three pass defenses, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
    • Heisman Trophy runner-up, the third defensive player to finish second in the history of the award.

  • 2018: Appeared in all 13 games and made 15 tackles (five solo) and 1.5 tackles for loss.

PERSONAL:

  • Attended Divine Child High School (Dearborn, Mich.) and played defensive end, tight end, offensive line and long snapper, helping his team win back-to-back Catholic League titles (2016-17).
  • Posted 65 tackles, 27.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and a blocked kick during his senior season. Also caught 68 passes for 419 yards and eight touchdowns at tight end.
  • Played lacrosse at Divine Child as a team captain, earning second-team all-state honors in 2016.
  • 2018 U.S. Army All-American Game participant.
  • Graduated from Michigan with a degree in applied exercise science.
  • Son of Melissa and Chris Hutchinson, both Michigan graduates. His father, Chris, played defensive tackle/outside linebacker for the Wolverines (1989-92) and won team MVP in his final season.
