2018: Led the Lions in rushing attempts with five carries for 17 yards in his NFL debut against the New York Jets on Sept. 11, 2018.
- After rushing for 43 yards on eight attempts and recording five receptions for 23 yards, Johnson went into his third week in the NFL ranked second in his rookie class in rushing yards (60), behind Saquon Barkley with 134), fourth in Lions RB history in rushing yards (60) and fifth in Lions RB history in receiving yards (43) recorded in the first two games in a rookie season.
- In Week 3 against the Patriots (9/23), Johnson recorded 101 rushing yards. In doing so, he became the first Lions running back to record 100-or-more rushing yards in a game since 2013 (Reggie Bush). He also became the first Lions rookie running back to rush for 100 yards since Mikel Leshoure (2012), as well as the first Lions rookie running back to rush for 100-or-more yards on 16-or-fewer carries since Don McIlhenny (1956).Â
- Made his first career start and finished with nine carries for 55 yards and his first career touchdown against the Cowboys (9/30).
- Made his second career start and finished with 12 carries for 70 yards (5.8 avg.) and two receptions for 15 yards against the Packers (10/7). Became the first Lion since 2014 (Joique Bell) to record four-straight games with 40-plus rushing yards. Through his first five games, Johnson has produced 354 yards from scrimmage, the most by a Lions rookie since 2010 (Jahvid Best).
- Finished the day against Miami (10/21) in career highs with 19 attempts for 158 yards (8.3 avg.), 179 yards from scrimmage and a 71-yard rush. His 179 yards from scrimmage were the most by a Lions rookie since 2010 (Jahvid Best), and Johnson is only the fourth player in team history to rush for at least 155 yards on less than 20 carries since Best (2011). His 71-yard rush is the longest by a Lions player since 2011 (Best), the seond-longest by an NFL player this season and the longest by a rookie this season. He also recorded 100 rushing yards in the first half, becoming the first Lion to do so since Reggie Bush in 2013.
- Recorded 22 rushing yards and 69 receiving yards for 91 yards of total offense against Seattle (10/28). He set career highs in receptions (six), receiving yards (69) and receiving long (24-yard reception). His 69 receiving yards were the most recorded by a Lions rookie running back since 2010 (Jahvid Best), and Johnson joined Barry Sanders and Billy Sims as the only rookies in Lions history to produce 450 rushing yards and 150 receiving yards through their first seven career games. Johnson recorded 55-or-more yards from scrimmage for the sixth-consecutive game, the second-longest active streak by a rookie this season, and is the first Lions rookie to produce 55-or-more yards from scrimmage in six straight games since 2004 (Kevin Jones).
- Recorded 37 rushing yards and seven receiving yards to produce 44 yards from scrimmage at Minnesota (11/4). Johnson posted at least 40 scrimmage yards for the seventh-straigh game, and joined Barry Sanders (1989), Billy Sims (1980) and Mel Farr (1967) as the only players in franchise history to record 500 rushing yards and 150 receiving yards through their first eight career games.
- Posted 14 carries for 51 rushing yards and one touchdown and caught six passes for 38 yards and one touchdown against the Bears (11/11). Became the sixth Lion to produce five games with 50-plus rushing yards in his first 10 games.Â
- Recorded 15 carries for 87 yards (5.8 avg.) and one rushing touchdown, plus two receptions for 10 yards, to finish with 97 yards from scrimmage in Week 11 against the Panthers (11/18/18). Became the first Lion to produce 640-plus rushing yards with three touchdowns and 210-plus receiving yards and one touchdown in his first 10 games of a season since 2002 (James Stewart), and is only one of two rookies in franchise history to do so (Billy Sims, 1980). Recorded his third game with 95-or-more yards from scrimmage and becomes the first Lions rookie to do so within his first 10 career games played since 1989 (Barry Sanders).
COLLEGE
Spent three seasons with the Tigers before declaring for the NFL Draft after his junior year.
