Marvin Jones

Speedy wide receiver with proven hands that joined the Lions as an unrestricted free agent in 2016 following a four-year career with the Cincinnati Bengals. During his time with the Bengals, he appeared in 43 games (21 starts) and totaled 134 receptions for 1,729 yards (12.9 avg) and 15 touchdowns, including a career-high 10 in 2013.

• Posted his 63rd-consecuative game with a reception and finished with three catches for 56 yards at Dallas (9/30).
• Recorded one reception for eight yards and a touchdown in Week 5 against the Green Bay Packers (10/7).
• Posted 29 yards on three receptions against the Miami Dolphins in Week 7 (10/21).
• Recorded seven receptions for 117 yards (16.7 avg.) and two touchdowns against Seattle (10/28). This marks Jones Jr.'s first 100-yard game of the 2018 season and the seventh of his career. With his two touchdowns against Seattle, Jones logged his fifth career multi-touchdown game and leads the Lions with five touchdown receptions this season.
• Recorded a game high 66 receiving yards in Week 9 against the Vikings (11/4). Logged his 25th game of 50-or-more yards since joining the Lions in 2016.
• Finished with 55 yards on three receptions against the Bears in Week 10 (11/11).

2017: Totaled 37 yards on two receptions in Week 1 against Arizona (9/10).

• Appeared in his 60th career NFL game in Week 2 at New York Giants (9/18). Recorded one reception for 27 yards and a touchdown.
• Hauled in three receptions for 24 yards in Week 3 against Atlanta (9/24).
• After proving his ability with a standout performance in the 2016 season, Jones ranked first in the NFL in receiving yards (408) and receiving yards per game (136.0) through the first three weeks of the season.
• Recorded 40th career start in Week 4 at Minnesota (10/1). Caught two passes for 42 yards.
• Caught six passes for 54 yards in Week 5 against Carolina (10/8).

• Totaled 90 yards on 4 catches in Week 13 at Baltimore (12/3). Registered catches of 46 and 42 yards, marking the first time in Jones' career that he recorded multiple receptions of 40+ yards in the same game. He is also the first Lions player with two 40+-yard receptions in a game since WR Calvin Johnson vs. Chicago October 18, 2015.
• Caught three passes for 64 yards including a 38-yard reception in Week 14 at Tampa Bay (12/10).
• Started in his 50th career game and led the Lions with 85 receiving yards on three receptions in Week 15 against Chicago (12/16). He snagged a 58-yard bomb that set up the Lions' first touchdown of the game. The 58-yarder was his third 50+-yard reception of this career. For the first time in his career, Jones has now totaled 60+ receiving yards in five consecutive games. He's the first Lions receiver with five-straight games recording 60+ receiving yards since WR Calvin Johnson in 2015. On his 58-yard reception, Jones established a new career single-season high with 18 receptions of 20+ yards.
• Caught three receptions for 50 yards in Week 16 at Cincinnati (12/24), surpassing 1,000 receiving yards in a season for the first time in his career (1,020).
• Finished with four receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown, including a 56-yard reception in Week 17 against Green Bay (12/31).

2016: Hauled in four catches for 85 yards in his Lions debut Week 1 at Indianapolis (9/11).

• Recorded his second-career 100-yard receiving game by catching eight balls for 118 yards in Week 2 vs. Tennessee (9/18).
• With six receptions for 205 yards and two touchdowns in Week 3 at Green Bay (9/25), he became the fifth player in Lions history to surpass 200 receiving yards in a game and the first since WR Calvin Johnson in 2013. His 205 receiving yards set a new career single-game high, including a career long reception of 73 yards that resulted in a touchdown. He became the first Lions player ever to reach 400 yards in the first three games of the season (408). Also ranked first in the NFL in receiving yards (408) and receiving yards per game (136.0) through the first three weeks.
• With five catches for 74 yards in Week 4 at Chicago (10/2), he registered the most receiving yards (482) by any player in Lions history through the first four games of the season, surpassing WR Calvin Johnson's previous high of 423 yards in 2012.
• Hauled in four catches for 37 yards and a touchdown in Week 5 vs. Philadelphia (10/9). With 519 yards, he joined WR's Herman Moore and Calvin Johnson as the only players in team history with 500+ receiving yards through the first five games of a season. Also ranked first in the NFL in receiving yards (519) and receiving yards per game (103.8) through the first five weeks.
• Caught two balls for 10 yards and one touchdown in Week 6 vs. Los Angeles (10/16). Matched his 2015 season total with his fourth touchdown reception of the season against the Rams.
• Tallied four catches for 94 yards in Week 7 vs. Washington (10/23), including a diving 52-yard reception over All-Pro Redskins CB Josh Norman.
• Hauled in three catches for 33 yards in Week 8 at Houston (10/30).

2015: Rebounded from his season-ending injury in 2014 to start 13 of 16 games in his final season in Cincinnati. Finished the season with career highs in receptions (65) and receiving yards (816) and also tallied four touchdowns.

• Totaled five receptions in seven games and 75 or more yards in four games, including a season-high nine catches for 95 yards at Buffalo (10/18).
• Recorded the longest touchdown grab of his career with a 45-yard touchdown in Week 2 at San Diego (9/20).

2014: Missed the first three games of the regular season with a foot injury. Injured his ankle upon returning to practice in late September and was placed on Reserve/Injured for the remainder of the season.

2013: Played in all 16 games (three starts) for the first time in his career, hauling in 51 receptions for 712 yards and a career-high 10 touchdowns. Also carried the ball eight times for 65 yards. In the Bengals' postseason game, had a big day with eight receptions for 130 yards.

• Along with fellow WR A.J. Green, became the first pair of Bengals teammates to each record at least 10 receiving touchdowns in a season.
• Set a franchise record by racking up four touchdowns to go along with eight receptions for 122 yards vs. the New York Jets (10/27). His four total touchdowns also tied the club record for total touchdowns in a game, equaling a mark set previously by RBs Larry Kinnebrew and Corey Dillon.
• In Cincinnati's Wild Card game vs. San Diego (1/5/14), his 130 receiving yards broke the previous franchise record of 120 set by WR Cris Collinsworth vs. New York Jets in 1983.
• Holds the Bengals franchise record with four touchdowns in a single game, which he recorded vs. the New York Jets in 2013 (10/27).

2012: As a rookie, appeared in 11 games with five starts and totaled 18 receptions for 201 yards and one touchdown. Missed five games due to a knee injury.

• Moved into a starting role during the season's final stretch, catching 10 passes for 110 yards over the final two games.
• Scored his first-career touchdown on an 11-yard pass from QB Andy Dalton vs. Baltimore (12/30).

COLLEGE
Played four seasons (2008-11) at California, seeing action in 43 games, and had all 38 of his starts in last three seasons. His 156 career receptions tied for seventh in school history, his 2,270 yards ranked sixth and his 13 receiving touchdowns tied for eighth.

PERSONAL
A native of Fontana, Calif., Jones attended Etiwanda High School where he made the California Top 25 prospect list by Rivals.com. Played cornerback and wide receiver as a prep star, totaling 144 receptions, 2,349 yards and 22 touchdowns, as well as 133 tackles and seven interceptions over his final two seasons.
