Biography
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
- Recorded a game-sealing interception late in the fourth quarter of the NFC Divisional Round vs. Tampa Bay (1/21/24) to help the Lions advance to the NFC Championship Game for just the second time in franchise history. This marked the first interception of his career.
- Tallied a career-high 78 tackles (41 solo) and five tackles for loss in 2023.
- Forced his first-career fumble in Week 8 vs. Las Vegas (10/30/23).
- Finished the 2022 season playing in 15 games (four starts), registering 43 tackles (25 solo), three tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, one pass defense, and four special teams tackles.
- Notched his first-career sack in Week 16 at Atlanta (12/26/21).
COLLEGE:
- Spent four seasons at Purdue (2017-20) and appeared in 41 games with 30 starts, tallying 226 tackles (159 solo), 26.0 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception.
- 2020: Played in six games with five starts, recording a team-high 54 tackles (40 solo) and one interception. Named Second-Team All-Big Ten and registered 6.7 solo tackles per game.
- 2019: Started all 12 games as a junior and finished second on the team in tackles with 63 (47 solo), also adding 11.0 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, two pass defenses, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery en route to 2019 Honorable Mention All-Big Ten honors.
- 2018: Appeared in 13 games with 12 starts, finishing third on the team with 92 tackles (61 solo). Also registered 8.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks.
- 2017: Appeared in 12 games with two starts, compiling 16 tackles (10 solo) on the year.
PERSONAL:
- Attended Holy Cross (Covington, Ky.) as a linebacker and running back and was a Second-Team All-State selection by the Associated Press. Also earned 2016 Courier-Journal All-State honors and was named 2016 Class 2A-District Six Player of the Year by the Kentucky Football Coaches Association.
- Led the team in tackles as a senior with 126 (96 solo) and also added four forced fumbles and three interceptions with 150 carries for 1,567 yards (10.5 avg.), 22 TDs and three kick-return TDs in 2016.
- Majored in selling and sales management at Purdue.
