First INT: It was bound to happen. Quarterback Matthew Stafford was going to throw an interception in a team drill at some point this training camp. He did it Thursday during the team's sixth practice day.
It's no surprise safety Glover Quin was the man who hauled it in. I asked Quin after practice if there was a pot of money out there somewhere for the first INT off Stafford during this camp. He said no. "I just get to let him know about it," Quin said with a smile. – *Tim Twentyman

Rookie read: Rookie linebacker Antwione Williams wasn't fooled on the second play of a team drill. The first play was a power run by George Winn, and the formation was similar on the next play. However, Stafford flipped the ball to Zach Zenner on a misdirection run to the left that could have caught the defense out of position.
It didn't.
Williams trapped Zenner in the backfield for a loss. – Mike O'Hara
Game of catch: Ziggy Ansah and Wallace Gilberry were having a bit of fun playing catch right before practice began. Ziggy tried catching a ball between his legs, Gilberry behind his back, and both went back and forth for a bit with one-handed snags.
Gilberry especially had fun throwing Ansah his football knuckleball, which Ansah had a tough time handling. Gilberry just laughed every time he tried to catch it. – Tim Twentyman
Veteran read: Linebacker Josh Bynes timed the snap perfectly on a blitz up the middle for a sack of rookie quarterback Jake Rudock and a forced fumble. Bynes did not hit Rudock the way he would have in a real game, but there was enough contact to cause the fumble. – Mike O'Hara
TJ Jones: The third-year receiver out of Notre Dame continues to get noticed at least once every day. He ran a terrific route and got inside Darius Slay for a nice catch in 7-on-7's. He got free of Nevin Lawson in a situational team drill for a big play down the middle later on. He's really solidifying himself as the No. 4 receiver. – Tim Twentyman
Opportunity: Get open in the Lions' offense, and you'll get the ball. That goes for everybody.
Tight end Matthew Mulligan made a nice catch just across the goal line on a pass from Matthew Stafford. It was a good route that gave Stafford an opening to get the ball to Mulligan just inside the right pylon for the score. Mulligan has just 17 catches in seven seasons. – Mike O'Hara
Second team: Who's in line right now for backup spots along the offensive line? During Thursday's practice, the second-team offensive line from left tackle to right was: Cornelius Lucas, Joe Dahl, Graham Glasgow, Geoff Schwartz and Michael Ola. – Tim Twentyman

Back at it: Theo Riddick missed a couple practices earlier this week with an undisclosed injury. He returned to the field for Wednesday's night practice, but was limited to individual drills. He was back participating in the team portion of practice Thursday, and there seems to be no limitations on him. - Tim Twentyman
