 Lions re-sign free agent CB Marcus Cooper Sr.

Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced today that they have re-signed free agent CB Marcus Cooper Sr. Contract terms were not disclosed.

Cooper returns to Detroit after playing in four games with the club in 2018. He originally joined the Lions during the 2018 regular season after playing in two games with the Chicago Bears. Entering his seventh NFL season, Cooper's career includes stints with the Arizona Cardinals (2016) and Kansas City Chiefs (2013-16).

He has appeared in 75 career games (28 starts) with 146 tackles (137 solo), seven interceptions, 35 pass defenses and one fumble recovery. Cooper originally entered the NFL in 2013 after being selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round (252nd overall) of the NFL Draft out of Rutgers.
