By the numbers: 2026 free agency

The Detroit Lions have made several roster additions and re-signings in free agency to add competition and depth to the roster ahead of next month's NFL Draft.

Let's take a look at Detroit's free agency class by the numbers:

0: Sacks allowed for Cade Mays in 20 starts at center the last two seasons. Mays has allowed just six quarterback hits and 17 hurries for 23 total pressures the last two seasons. His 2.56 pressure percentage was the 11th best among all NFL centers last season.

4.7: Isiah Pacheco had 170 attempts as a rookie in Kansas City in 2022 and 205 attempts the next year in 2023. That's 375 attempts totaling 1,765 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns for a 4.7-yard average per attempt his first two seasons in the league. He's totaled 201 attempts the last two seasons combined following a broken leg suffered in 2024. Can he get back to his 2023 & 2024 form with the Lions in 2026 and be a high average-per-carry runner in Detroit?

Go behind the scenes with the Detroit Lions during 2026 free agency.

8.0: Sacks for veteran edge rusher D.J. Wonnum in both 2021 and 2023 playing with the Minnesota Vikings. Wonnum has 30.0 career sacks. He has 14 tackles, 2.0 sacks and six quarterback hits in seven career games vs. Detroit.

11.6: Punt return average for wide receiver/returner Greg Dortch in Arizona last season. That was the seventh-highest average in the NFL last season.

50: At least 50 receptions in four straight seasons from 2021-24 for veteran tight end Tyler Conklin. He had 51 in 2024 (with Jets), 61 in 2023 (Jets), 58 in 2022 (Jets) and 61 in 2021 (Vikings).

74.7: Opponent passer rating when throwing at Lions veteran cornerback Rock Ya-Sin last season. Ya-Sin re-signed with Detroit in free agency for the 2026 season. The 74.7 rating was the lowest in Ya-Sin's seven-year career as opposing passers also completed just 51.9 percent of their passes when targeting him.

79.4. In his second season as Detroit's placekicker Jake Bates made 27-of-34 field goal attempts (79.4 percent) while hitting 54 of 56 extra point tries. Bates' field goal percentage was down from his rookie season (89.7) but five of his misses last year came from 50-plus yards.

109: In Damone Clark's one season as a true starter in Dallas in 2023 he recorded 109 tackles (70 solo) in 17 starts. Clark will be competing for a starting role at the vacant WILL LB spot in Detroit and potentially a big role on special teams.

257: Career tackle numbers for cornerback Roger McCreary in 61 games. McCreary is a high-volume tackler as a nickel cornerback, recording 84 and 86 tackles his first two seasons in the league in 2022 and 2023 when he got an opportunity to start 28 games.

330: Tackle Larry Borom has played at least 330 offensive snaps in each of his five seasons in the league with 38 games of starting experience under his belt at left tackle, right tackle and both guard spots.

907: Snaps played as a slot cornerback for Christian Izien his first three seasons in the NFL. Izien has also logged 378 snaps at free safety, 249 at box safety, 67 at wide corner and 469 on special teams. He's a true chess piece for Lions defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard.
