DETROIT, MICH.– On Monday, September 19, Verizon broke ground on an exciting new upgrade to Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions. The company is installing a new WiFi network in the stadium, which when completed, will allow fans to more easily share their in-stadium experiences.

"We listened to Lions' fans and are thrilled to announce this project is underway," said Abby Knowles, executive director – network for Verizon. "We're working to install the new system as quickly as possible so that we can bring the best experience to fans at every home game."

Verizon and the Detroit Lions are working closely on the build-out and expect the project to be completed before the first of the year.
