Lions sign unrestricted free agent WR Andre Caldwell

Allen Park, Mich. –The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed unrestricted free agent WR Andre Caldwell. Contract terms were not disclosed.

Entering his ninth NFL season, Caldwell joins the Lions following a four-year stint with the Denver Broncos (2012-15). Last season with the Broncos he appeared in 14 games and hauled in 10 receptions for 72 yards (7.2 avg) and two touchdowns. In the team's Super Bowl 50 win over Carolina, he caught one pass for 22 yards.

Prior to his time in Denver, Caldwell spent four seasons (2008-11) with the Cincinnati Bengals after being selected by the team in the third round (97th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft out of the University of Florida. In 105 career NFL games (18 starts), he has totaled 156 receptions for 1,509 yards (9.7 avg) and 11 touchdowns, in addition to 12 carries for 97 yards (8.1 avg). He has also played in eight postseason games (one start), logging seven receptions for 87 yards.

The Lions also announced today that they have released C Darren Keyton.
