Lions sign free agent WR Damian Copeland, waive G Andrew Zeller

Allen Park, Mich. –The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed free agent WR Damian Copeland and waived G Andrew Zeller. Contract terms were not disclosed.

Copeland joins the Lions' receiving corps after a two-year stint (2014-15) with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he spent both seasons on Reserve/Injured. He entered the NFL ranks as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Jaguars in 2014.

Prior to his time in Jacksonville, Copeland played his college football at Louisville (2009-13). As a senior in 2013, he caught 52 receptions for 690 yards and five touchdowns.
