Lions sign DT Damon Harrison Sr. to one-year contract extension

Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed DT Damon Harrison Sr. to a one-year contract extension. Additional contract terms were not disclosed.

After being acquired by the Lions via trade last season, Harrison appeared in 10 games for Detroit (9 starts) and finished with 50 total tackles (37 solo), five tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Entering his eighth NFL season, Harrison's career totals include 436 tackles, 9.0 sacks, seven pass defenses, four forced fumbles and one interception.
