Lions re-sign CB Crezdon Butler

The Detroit Lions announced Friday that they have re-signed CB Crezdon Butler. Contract terms were not disclosed.

Butler spent 2015 training camp with the Lions before rejoining the team as a free agent midway through the season. He appeared in the final eight games of the season and finished with three total tackles on the year. In his first game back in Week 10 against Green Bay (11/15), Butler recorded two tackles and defended a late two-point conversion play that helped seal the Lions' win.

A seven-year NFL veteran, Butler was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fifth round (164 overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft. In 45 career games (three starts), he has totaled 25 tackles (24 solo) and two forced fumbles. He appeared in one postseason game with the Chargers in 2013.
