How he fits: Proctor is a massive human with terrific athletic traits. He's a people mover when he gets downhill and has quicker feet in pass pro than most people would think. Alabama put him in the backfield and used him as a fullback which shows off the kind of athleticism we're talking about with Proctor.

He said at the Combine his ideal playing weight would be around 350 pounds, but he got as high as 370 during his time at Alabama. Being conscious of his pad level will also be important for Proctor at the next level.

The Lions released left tackle Taylor Decker this offseason and signed veteran Larry Borom, who has 38 NFL starts at both left and right tackle. Detroit could still stand to add more competition to that room, potentially with one of the top tackles in this year's NFL Draft if they are sitting on the board at No. 17 and match Detroit's best-player-available draft strategy.

Key observations: After a rough freshman season that saw him allow 12 sacks, Proctor was an All-American left tackle last year as a junior allowing just two sacks over 527 pass-blocking snaps with an 81.8 pass-blocking grade and 81.6 run-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus.

What they had to say about him: "Thanks to his physical traits, Proctor flashes dominance when he plays on time. He has the size and movement skills to engulf defenders when in rhythm as a pass blocker. However, he struggles to negotiate space and understand his leverage, and it is a similar story in the run game – talent isn't the issue. If his discipline and technique catch up to his physical ability, we'll be cooking with gas." – Dane Brugler, The Athletic

How he stacks up: Brugler lists Proctor as his No. 17 overall prospect in his latest Top 100 players available in the draft.

NFL media analyst Daniel Jeremiah lists Proctor as his No. 23 overall prospect in his most recent Top 50 players.

"Overall, Proctor will need to manage his weight to stay at tackle, but he has the most upside of any blocker in this draft," Jeremiah wrote.

ESPN's Field Yates recently his updated Top 50 players and Proctor came in at No. 13.

"He is best described as a human forklift when he gets hands on a defender," Yates wrote. "He barrels through players in the running game, and he can use his length to drive rushers away from the quarterback. There's major upside for the 20-year old tackle."

Proctor is No. 18 on Mel Kiper Jr.'s latest Draft Big Board.

What he had to say: "Anything under 355 pounds right now feels good to me," Proctor said at the Combine about his playing weight. "That's where I've been midseason through end of season. Obviously, being 365 or 370 isn't a good weight for me to play at. I've figured that and understood that. But if any team gives me a weight, I can go down and achieve that."
