Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed unrestricted free agent EDGE Payton Turner. Contract terms were not disclosed.
Turner joins the Lions for his sixth NFL season after splitting his career with the Dallas Cowboys (2025) and New Orleans Saints (2021-24).
A first-round selection (28th overall) by the Saints out of Houston in 2021, Turner has appeared in 31 games and has totaled 48 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 11 quarterback hits and 5.0 sacks.
