Lions sign RB Wes Hills and T Dan Skipper to active roster from practice squad

Allen Park, Mich.— The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed RB Wes Hills and T Dan Skipper to the active roster from the practice squad. Additional contract terms were not disclosed.

In addition, the team placed LB Jarrad Davis and G Joe Dahl on Reserve/Injured.

Hills originally joined the Lions in October and has spent the majority of the season as a member of the practice squad. He entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Arizona Cardinals out of Slippery Rock following the conclusion of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Skipper came to Detroit this season via waivers from the Houston Texans in November and has spent the last three weeks as a member of the practice squad. He spent time earlier this season with the Houston Texans and New England Patriots following practice squad stints with the Denver Broncos (2018), Lions (2017-18) and Dallas Cowboys (2017). He originally entered the League with the Cowboys as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2017 out of Arkansas.
