Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed free agent WR Dom Williams and waived-injured WR Deontez Alexander. Contract terms were not disclosed.
In addition, the Lions announced that they have removed DE Cornelius Washington from Active/Non-Football Injury and he will return to practice today.
Williams joins the Lions after stints with the Philadelphia Eagles during the past two offseasons (2017-18). He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the San Diego Chargers in 2016 out of Washington State. A four-year member of the Washington State football team, Williams registered 75 receptions for 1,040 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior in 2015.
