Lions sign free agent LB Trevor Bates

Allen Park, Mich. –The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed free agent LB Trevor Bates. Contract terms were not disclosed.

In addition, the Lions announced that they have waived TE DeAndre Goolsby.

Bates comes to Detroit after previous stints on the New England Patriots and New York Giants practice squads in 2017. He originally entered the NFL in 2016 after being drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the seventh round (239th overall) out of Maine.
