Lions sign free agent CB Josh Okonye and waive CB Amari Coleman

Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed free agent CB Josh Okonye and waived CB Amari Coleman.

In addition, the Lions announced that LB Devon Kennard has been removed from Active/Non-Football Injury and will return to practice today.

Okonye returns to Detroit after originally joining the Lions in May of 2018 as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Purdue, where he played as a graduate transfer last season. He spent the previous four seasons (2013-16) at Wake Forest, where he appeared in 37 games and totaled 45 solo tackles and 1.5 sacks..
