Lions sign DE Earl Okine to practice squad

Allen Park, Mich. –The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed DE Earl Okine to the team's practice squad and released DT Derrick Lott from the practice squad. Contract terms were not disclosed.

Okine comes to Detroit after spending time with the Kansas City Chiefs this preseason, where he recorded four total tackles (two TFL) and one sack in four games. In 2016 he was a member of the Chiefs practice squad following one season with the Indianapolis Colts (2015).

An undrafted rookie free agent with the Houston Texans in 2013 out of Florida, Okine has recorded five tackles (four solo) in five career games.
