DETROIT – The GameAbove SportsTM Bowl announced today that tickets are on sale now for the December 26, 2025 (1 PM ET) game at Ford Field. Tickets start at $29 and are available for purchase at www.gameabovesportsbowl.com. The participating teams will be announced on December 7 (Selection Sunday).
The GameAbove Sports Bowl traditionally features teams from the Big Ten and the Mid-American Conference (MAC). At the end of the college football season, officials from both conferences meet with bowl officials to determine the best possible matchup and choose their team representatives.
2025 marks the 11th year of this bowl game – which is owned, hosted and operated by the Detroit Lions – and the second year with title sponsor GameAbove Sports.

Last year's GameAbove Sports Bowl was a record-setting matchup featuring the Toledo Rockets (MAC) and Pitt Panthers (ACC). After four quarters of trading points and tying up the game 30-30, the teams played an FBS college football bowl record of six overtimes before Toledo officially took the 48-46 victory as the 2024 GameAbove Sports Bowl champions.
