The Detroit Lions will have a new starter at center for today's interconference matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers at Ford Field.
Center Graham Glasgow has been dealing with a knee injury this week that forced him to miss practice Thursday and Friday. He was listed as questionable to play today on Friday's practice report but is inactive. Detroit elevated second-year center Kingsley Eguakun from the practice squad on Saturday, and he could get his first career start at center.
The good news along Detroit's offensive front is the return of left guard Christian Mahogany, who was activated off Reserve/Injured and is active today. Detroit's starting left guard to begin the season hasn't played since suffering a leg injury Week 9 vs. Minnesota.
Also inactive today are Trystan Colon and Kayode Awosika, making veteran Michael Niese and rookie Miles Frazier Detroit's reserves along their offense line in today's contest.
Joining Glasgow, Colon and Awosika on Detroit's inactive list vs. Steelers are: Safety Jalen Mills, wide receiver Dominic Lovett, defensive lineman Tyler Lacy and defensive lineman Mekhi Wingo.
The Lions also elevated tight end Giovanni Ricci from the practice squad and he's active.
