INACTIVES: Lions vs. Giants

For the first time since Week 4, the Detroit Lions will have the services of top cornerback D.J. Reed, who is back after a stint on IR with a hamstring injury suffered in Detroit's win over Cleveland Week 4.

Reed's return gives a Detroit secondary that's been playing pretty good football the last month and a half, a boost. Opponents were completing just 50 percent of the passes thrown Reed's way this season with a 44.3 passer rating.

Linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez will make his 2025 regular-season debut today. It's his first game action since tearing his ACL last October. His return should make an immediate impact on special teams and it gives the Lions terrific depth at linebacker. Detroit will also get back veteran cornerback Khalil Dorsey off a stint on IR with a wrist injury. His return should also make an impact on special teams.

The Lions ruled out safety Kerby Joseph (knee) and cornerback Terrion Arnold (concussion) for today's game against the New York Giants. Joseph will miss his fifth straight contest and Arnold will miss his second game in a row.

Detroit had a number of players listed as questionable on Friday's injury report including left tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder), center Graham Glasgow (knee), guard Tate Ratledge (knee), right tackle Penei Sewell (ankle), wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa (oblique) and running back Sione Vaki (ankle). All are active today.

Joining Joseph and Arnold on Detroit's inactive list are: Running back Craig Reynolds, cornerback Nick Whiteside, defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson and defensive lineman Mekhi Wingo.
