Lions sign unrestricted free agent TE Tyler Conklin

Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed unrestricted free agent TE Tyler Conklin. Contract terms were not disclosed.

Conklin comes to Detroit after spending last season with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he appeared in 13 games (five starts) and recorded seven receptions for 101 yards (14.4 avg.).

Originally selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the fifth round (157th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Central Michigan, Conklin has split his career with the Vikings (2018-21), New York Jets (2022-24) and Chargers (2025). In 127-career games (69 starts), he has registered 270 receptions for 2,645 yards (9.8 avg.) and 11 touchdowns.
