Touchdown In Your Town

Touchdown In Your Town

To foster safe play and a love of football, the Detroit Lions launched the Touchdown in Your Town program in 2019. During the inaugural year of the program, the Lions hosted five local high schools at their youth football camp locations and surprised them with grant funding, Riddell SpeedFlex helmets and chocolate milk grants from the United Dairy Industry of Michigan (UDIM). In 2020, in partnership with Kroger, an application process was launched, with schools from across the state invited to submit for support. Six high schools were selected and given equipment and field grant funding as well as Riddell SpeedFlex Helmets and UDIM chocolate milk grants. Since inception, Touchdown in Your Town has distributed more than $400,000 in resources.

Detroit Lions Golf Outing

Detroit Lions Golf Outing

The 2019 Detroit Lions Annual Golf Outing was held at TPC Michigan, raising more than $100,000 to benefit Playworks and their mission of creating safe and kind spaces for kids to be active. Lions executives, staff, coaches, players and Legends attended the outing in support of the cause, as many of them have personally witnessed the impact Playworks makes in local schools to encourage collaborative and healthy play.

Taste of the Lions

Taste of the Lions

Taste of the Lions is an extension of the league's own Taste of the NFL program, dedicated to fighting hunger, which began in 1992. Each spring join us to meet your favorite players, coaches and Legends, all while enjoying live music, a silent auction and food and drinks from Michigan's best restaurants and bars. Proceeds from the event benefit Eastern Market's community outreach programming, dedicated to improving healthy food access in underserved areas of Detroit.
