Rams roundup: How Los Angeles has added an explosive element to the league's most efficient rushing attack

After wrapping up a three-game home stretch with a 44-30 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, the Detroit Lions (8-5) travel to SoFi Stadium to face the Los Angeles Rams (10-3).

Last week: Los Angeles defeated the Arizona Cardinals in a decisive 45-17 victory.

History: The Rams lead the all-time series 45-43-1. In their last matchup, Detroit beat Los Angeles 26-20 in overtime to begin the 2024 season.

Storyline to watch: Sunday marks another significant playoff game between two of the league's top offenses heading into Week 15.

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford leads the league with a 113.1 passer rating. His No. 4-ranked offense (373.2) is No. 3 in passing (249.2) and No. 4 in scoring (29.2).

Lions quarterback Jared Goff ranks third with a 110.2 passer rating leading a No. 3-ranked offense (378.7) that is No. 5 in passing (242.8) and No. 1 in scoring (30.3).

With a win Sunday, Los Angeles clinches a playoff spot. A Detroit victory would move them one game closer to postseason play as the current eighth seed in the NFC.

"Our focus and concentration is doing everything that we can to try to be able to win this game," Rams head coach Sean McVay said about Sunday's playoff implications. "If that means what that means, great."
