- Relative Athletic Score at NFL Combine ranked in the top 1 percent of all wide receivers in history
Expert analysis: "TeSlaa is a big slot receiver whose stock might be on the rise after his performances during Senior Bowl week. He can mismatch smaller cornerbacks with his frame and play strength and is a reliable pass catcher when contested. TeSlaa's ball skills and ability to work down the field from the slot should carry backup value for teams in the market for help at receiver." — Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
"Showing impressive athleticism for his size, TeSlaa has speed to work vertically or snap off routes, and he has natural catch-point focus — especially for a player who has only been playing the position the past five years.
"Overall, TeSlaa is still very much a work in progress with his route running and ability to create space, but the athletic tools and ball skills are exceptional and the football character and toughness will help sway doubters." — Dane Brugler, The Athletic
Twentyman's take: The Lions must have really thought a lot of TeSlaa's potential because they gave up quite a bit to move up 32 spots in the third round to select him. He's a big-bodied receiver at 6-foot-4 with 4.43 speed that has the potential to be a huge downfield weapon in John Morton's offense alongside speedster Jameson Williams. TeSlaa ranked fifth in the SEC last season with a 19.5-yard average per reception. With his addition, the Lions now have a pretty diverse and complete wide receiver room heading into the 2025 season.
Bambini's take: TeSlaa, from just outside Grand Rapids, Michigan, joins a Lions wide receiver room that features Amon-Ra St. Brown, Williams, Tim Patrick, and Kalif Raymond as the top four. TeSlaa will have the chance to develop into another weapon for quarterback Jared Goff. Though not producing high-ranking numbers, TeSlaa had zero drops at Arkansas, proving his consistency in catching the ball. He'll also likely have an opportunity on special teams, an area where he played on the punt return and punt coverage teams for the Razorbacks.
What he had to say: "I think teams appreciate the way I play using my size, my hands obviously, (I) don't drop a lot of balls which they really appreciate. I use my frame, catch the ball, run good, clean routes." — TeSlaa after his Pro Day at Arkansas
