Lions awarded DE Corey Lemonier via waivers

Allen Park, Mich. –The Detroit Lions announced today that they were awarded DE Corey Lemoniervia waivers from the Cleveland Browns and waived CB Adairius Barnes.

Lemonier comes to Detroit after appearing in eight games (one start) this season with the Cleveland Browns. He recorded nine total tackles (eight solo), two sacks, one pass defense and one forced fumble before being waived on December 14.

Selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round (88th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Auburn, Lemonier played his first three seasons (2013-15) with the 49ers, where he appeared in 42 games (two starts). His career totals include 50 games (three starts), 38 tackles (28 solo), three sacks, three pass defenses, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
