Lions and Quicken Loans continue "Blue Out Fridays" campaign

DETROIT —The Detroit Lions and Quicken Loans, America's second largest retail mortgage lender, are excited to bring back "Blue Out Fridays" for the upcoming football season. "Blue Out Fridays" will continue to encourage and reward fans for showing their Lions pride by wearing blue every Friday during the season.

"We're proud to continue our Blue Out Friday tradition with Quicken Loans as we prepare to take on the Arizona Cardinals in our regular season opener at The New Ford Field," said Detroit Lions Sr. Vice President of Business Development Kelly Kozole. "We embrace every opportunity to reward our fans for their passion and loyalty to the Detroit Lions."

Individual fans, groups, businesses and schools who participate will have the opportunity to win Lions-themed prizes by sharing photos displaying their support via Twitter and/or Instagram with the hashtag #BlueOutFriday.

Participants who post photos of themselves in their blue gear will be eligible to win autographed memorabilia, team merchandise, up to eight Quicken Loans Dream Seats for each Lions home game and more. The culmination of 2017's Blue Out Friday promotion is one lucky fan winning a trip for two to Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis. 

"Detroit is home to some of the most passionate and enthusiastic football fans in the country," said Casey Hurbis, Quicken Loans Chief Marketing Officer. "Watching the Lions defend the den evokes such a strong sense of pride, and Blue Out Fridays is another great way to celebrate our team."
