INACTIVES: Lions vs. Falcons

The Detroit Lions are down another starter for today's game vs. the Atlanta Falcons.

Already missing defensive starters Jarrad Davis and Tavon Wilson, the Lions will also be without starting center Travis Swanson, who's been dealing with an ankle injury.

Swanson injured the ankle in last Monday's win over the Giants, but still managed to finish the game and play every snap. He missed all of practice this week, and it was determined Sunday that the ankle just hasn't improved enough to allow him to play today.

The Lions could shift Graham Glasgow over to center from his left guard spot. The only problem with that is backup guard Joe Dahl (lower leg) is also inactive. Zac Kerin and T.J. Lang are the only guards active for this game. Also active are tackles Brian Mihalik and Emmett Cleary. One could potentially play guard if needed today.

The Lions ruled out starting MIKE linebacker Jarrad Davis, starting strong safety Tavon Wilson and reserve running back Dwayne Washington on Friday.

A combination of Tahir Whitehead, Paul Worrilow or Jalen Reeves-Maybin could fill Davis' void in the middle of Teryl Austin's defense, Miles Killebrew is expected to step in at strong safety, and Zach Zenner is active for the first time this season at running back for Washington.

Defensive end Ziggy Ansah, who was listed as questionable, is active, as he has each been of the first two weeks with that designation.

Joining Davis, Swanson, Wilson, Dahl and Washington on Detroit's inactive list are running back Tion Green and cornerback Teez Tabor.
