INACTIVES: Lions at Giants

The Detroit Lions will have all hands on deck for their first national television matchup tonight against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.

Defensive end Ziggy Ansah (knee) was the only player on the 53-roster given a designation on Friday's injury report (questionable), but he's active.

He and fellow defensive end Anthony Zettel will attempt to be just as productive this week pressuring Eli Manning as they were a week ago against Carson Palmer and the Cardinals. Ansah and Zettel combined for 10 quarterback pressures and a sack on Palmer.

Whichever team wins in the trenches tonight between Detroit and New York will most likely win the game, so having Ansah ready to roll is a big boost for the Lions' defense.

Detroit's seven-man inactive list consists of: Cornerback Teez Tabor, receiver Jared Abbrederis, linebacker Nick Bellore, running back Zach Zenner, running back Tion Green, guard Zac Kerin and tackle Emmett Cleary.

For the second straight week, the Lions will keep just three running backs active -- Ameer Abdullah, Theo Riddick and Dwayne Washington.

Lions head coach Jim Caldwell said this week that Washington and rookie Jamal Agnew could both return kickoffs after Washington was relieved of those duties last week because of a couple bad decisions. We'll see if that indeed is the case.
