As expected, the Lions will be without starting defensive end Jason Jones in Chicago for their division matchup with the Bears. He's inactive and will not play.
Jones injured his neck in the first half of last week's win over San Francisco and did not return to the game. He sat out practice all week and was listed as doubtful on Friday's injury report.
Veteran Darryl Tapp will get the start opposite Ziggy Ansah, but third-year defensive end Devin Taylor, who has three sacks over his last four games, will get plenty of run on the edge as well.
Manny Ramirez will make the start at center with Travis Swanson being placed on injured reserve Saturday. Gabe Ikard, who was claimed off waivers earlier this month, will be the backup swing center/guard.
Joining Jones on the Lions' list of inactives are: receiver Corey Fuller, running back George Winn, offensive tackle Corey Robinson, defensive tackles Khyri Thornton and Gabe Wright and center Braxton Cave.
