O Detroit Lions recebe o Tampa Bay Buccaneers no Monday Night Football, em um duelo entre potências da NFC que pode ter impacto direto no posicionamento dos playoffs em janeiro.
Confira cinco coisas para observar no jogo desta noite:
1. O DUELO DOS QUARTERBACKS
Desde 2023, os dois jogadores com mais jardas aéreas e passes para touchdown na NFL são Jared Goff, do Detroit (10.594 jardas e 81 TDs), e Baker Mayfield, de Tampa Bay (10.083 jardas e 81 TDs).
Nesta temporada, Goff lidera a liga com 14 passes para touchdown e ocupa o segundo lugar em rating, com 120,6. Mayfield está empatado em terceiro em touchdowns (12) e é o sexto em rating (108,5). Ele também soma quatro campanhas vitoriosas no último quarto em 2025.
Goff e Mayfield têm trajetórias parecidas: ambos foram escolhas nº 1 do Draft, dispensados por seus times originais e ressurgiram em novos ambientes — Goff em Detroit, Mayfield em Tampa.
2. MCNEILL DE VOLTA AO TIME
Alim McNeill (joelho, dúvida) deve retornar pela primeira vez desde que rompeu o ligamento cruzado anterior em 15 de dezembro do ano passado, na derrota para Buffalo.
McNeill é um dos principais pass rushers internos dos Lions. Na última temporada, registrou 45 pressões em 14 jogos e 3,5 sacks. A dupla formada por McNeill e o Edge Rusher Aidan Hutchinson deve ser um grande reforço para a linha defensiva de Detroit e um enorme desafio para a linha ofensiva de Tampa Bay.
"O padrão que espero que Alim mantenha ao voltar é alto. É o padrão que ele mesmo estabeleceu como jogador", disse o coordenador defensivo Kelvin Sheppard na sexta-feira.
"Não é algo que eu ou outras pessoas estamos impondo. Espero que ele entre e mostre o que tem mostrado nas últimas duas semanas de treino. Como eu disse, parece que ele nem ficou de fora."
3. PROFUNDIDADE DE SECUNDÁRIA X PROFUNDIDADE DE RECEBEDORES
Um ponto importante neste confronto será o duelo entre a secundária dos Lions e o grupo de recebedores dos Buccaneers, ambos afetados por lesões.
Detroit não contará com os Cornerbacks D.J. Reed (posterior da coxa), Terrion Arnold (ombro) e Avonte Maddox (posterior da coxa), além dos Safeties Brian Branch (suspenso) e Kerby Joseph (joelho).
Do outro lado, Tampa Bay estará sem o Wide Receiver Chris Godwin (fíbula). Emeka Egbuka (posterior da coxa) é dúvida, assim como Mike Evans, fora desde a Semana 3 por uma lesão no mesmo local.

4. ENFRENTANDO A BLITZ
O coordenador ofensivo John Morton disse durante a semana que assistir à defesa de Tampa Bay em vídeo era como ver um "festival de blitzes".
Os Lions precisam estar preparados para uma defesa dos Bucs que ocupa o 3º lugar na NFL em percentual de blitzes, com 32,6% das jogadas.
Morton destacou que enfrentar a própria defesa de Detroit nos treinos, comandada por Sheppard e cheia de pacotes agressivos, ajudou bastante na preparação.
Goff tem o segundo melhor rating da NFL contra blitzes nesta temporada: 129,9, com 78% de passes completos.
5. ST. BROWN x BUCS
Amon-Ra St. Brown é o primeiro Wide Receiver dos Lions a registrar pelo menos 40 recepções, 450 jardas e 6 touchdowns nas seis primeiras partidas de uma temporada.
Atualmente, ele está empatado em 3º em recepções (44), 6º em jardas recebidas (452) e empatado em 1º em touchdowns (6) na NFL.
O confronto desta noite contra os Buccaneers pode ser uma ótima chance para St. Brown ampliar ainda mais esses números. Nos últimos três jogos contra Tampa Bay, ele foi alvo 37 vezes, com 31 recepções, 320 jardas e dois touchdowns.
