Tom Roth enters his 26th season in the National Football League and his third season as an Area Scout for the Detroit Lions. In his current role, Roth leads the club's scouting efforts as it pertains to the Carolinas and Southeast region of the country.
Prior to Detroit, Roth spent 7 years with the Tennessee Titans from May 2017 – May 2024 covering the Southeast region of the country. Prior to Tennessee, he spent 14 years with the Buffalo Bills from July 2003 – April 2017. With the Titans, Roth served in various college scouting roles, including College Scouting Administrator, BLESTO Scout and Area Scout. He began his career working within the Player Personnel Department at the NFL League Office from February 2001 – June 2003.
Roth earned his bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University. A Mentor, Ohio native, Roth currently resides in Charlotte, N.C.
