Biography
Scott Nealon enters his second season with the Lions after joining the team as director of performance nutrition in 2025.
Scott Nealon enters his second season with the Lions after joining the team as director of performance nutrition in 2025. Prior to Detroit, Nealon worked two seasons (2023-24) with the Toronto Blue Jays as the club's Major League Dietitian.
Nealon spent the 2022 NFL season with the Las Vegas Raiders as a Nutrition Assistant, where he provided optimal nutrition strategies to help maximize player performance and readiness.
In early 2022, Nealon completed his dietetic internship with Keith & Associates, Inc. During his internship, he completed a sports rotation at the University of Nebraska where he observed football, wrestling, women's soccer, women's softball and baseball programs.
Nealon previously served in strength & conditioning roles throughout Cleveland's Minor League system from 2011-21 after he spent the summer of 2011 with San Francisco's Rookie-level affiliate in Scottsdale, Ariz.
He obtained his Dietetics degree from the University of Northern Colorado and also holds his master's degree in Exercise Science from PennWest California and bachelor's degree in pre-physical therapy/exercise science from Baldwin Wallace University. He is a Certified Registered Dietitian (RD) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA. Nealon and his wife, Samantha, have two daughters, Quinn and Blair.
