Eloy Ledesma enters his ninth season as a member of the Lions' scouting department and his fourth season as an Area Scout. Ledesma worked as a BLESTO Scout for the club from 2017-20 covering the Midwest region. He originally came to Detroit as a Scouting Assistant in May 2016, where he worked closely with both the College and Pro Scouting Departments. Ledesma is a charter member of the Detroit Lions Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) Council. He is a current member after serving as a Council Leader for two years after its inception.
Before joining the Lions, Ledesma started as a Student Equipment Manager and Recruiting & Coaching Assistant under Pete Carroll's staff at the University of Southern California from 2007-09. He then interned in Football Operations for the Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks and worked as the Assistant Recruiting Coordinator at the University of San Diego in 2010.
Ledesma would go on to work as the West Coast Regional Director for the NFL's High School Player Development Program from 2011-14, serving as the primary liaison between high school programs, the NFL League Office and select NFL franchises, while also taking on the role of Quarterbacks Coach at Castle Park High School. In 2014, Ledesma returned to USC as a Recruiting Analyst and was promoted to Director of Scouting prior to moving to Detroit.
Ledesma is a native of Chula Vista, California, and attended Otay Ranch High School. He graduated from USC with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and resides in the state of Washington with his wife, Alexandra.
