Blake Ask enters his 6th season with the Lions and his first as a Pro Scout for the organization. He was most recently promoted from the Assistant Pro Scout position. In his current role, he is primarily responsible for advanced scouting reports, player evaluations, and free agency and draft preparation. Ask originally joined the Lions in 2021 after most recently working in the football operations department for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Before Tampa Bay, he spent time with the Miami Dolphins in a similar role. Ask began his career in personnel in the collegiate ranks with Idaho in 2017. He assisted with a variety of responsibilities, including all aspects of team travel and logistics. In 2019, he worked in a scouting and recruiting capacity at the University of Washington, coordinating recruiting visits as well as performing player evaluations. Ask earned a bachelor's degree in business management and marketing from Saint Martin's University. An Olympia, Washington native, he and his fiancée, Giulianna, now reside in Berkley, Mich.
