Ademi Smith enters his seventh season with the Lions. Smith was promoted to Area Scout in 2026 after spending two seasons as BLESTO scout for the club. He originally joined the organization as a scouting assistant in 2020, spent one season as a personnel assistant, and then served as Scout, Auxiliary from 2022-23.
Smith has been a part of a personnel staff that helped assemble a Lions roster that won its first division title since 1993 in 2023 and advanced to their second-ever NFC Championship Game. Following the historical 2023 season, the Lions went on to win the most regular-season games in franchise history with a 15-2 record and a second-straight division title in 2024.
Prior to joining Detroit, Smith served as a student video assistant at the University of Central Florida for three seasons (2017-20). In that span, he also completed scouting internships with the Lions at the 2020 NFL Combine, 2020 East-West Shrine Bowl and 2019 Training Camp.
Smith earned a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies and a minor in sports business management from UCF and is a native of Tampa, Fla.
