Cameron Davis joins the Lions in 2022 as the team's assistant defensive line coach, marking his first NFL coaching position.
Davis comes to Detroit after two seasons as the defensive line coach for Lamar University. Prior to Lamar, he spent the 2019 season as a graduate assistant coach at Kentucky, where two of his players ranked among the SEC leaders in sacks and tackles for loss.
Before joining the Wildcats, Davis served as a graduate assistant with Rice University (2017-18) and Texas A&M (2016). He originally entered graduate school at the University of La Verne, where he also coached the defensive line and defensive backs for one season each and served as the equipment manager from 2014-15.
From 2013-14, Davis began his coaching career at Diablo Valley College as an assistant defensive line coach. He spent 2012-13 as a public relations intern with the Oakland Raiders.
Davis is a 2012 graduate Cal State East Bay with a degree in sociology. In 2016, he earned his Masters in Leadership and Management from La Vern. He and his wife, BriAnna Davis.
