Caleb Collins begins his professional coaching career with the Lions as a defensive quality control coach in 2025.
He joins Detroit after a five-season stint at Baylor, where he served as the team's outside linebackers coach from 2021-24 after originally joining the program as a defensive quality control coach in 2020.
Prior to his tenure at Baylor, Collins' first NCAA job came at LSU from 2018-19. After originally joining the Tigers as a defensive graduate assistant in 2018, he was promoted to a defensive analyst in 2019 en route to the team going 15-0 and capturing the CFP National Championship.
Collins began his coaching career in 2017, serving as an assistant coach at Rayburn High School in Pasadena, Texas.
A native of Houston, Texas, Collins played linebacker at Southeastern Louisiana from 2012-16.
He is married to his wife, Jerica, and they have one son, Carson.
