Anyone who has been involved in football for any length of time can understand the impact the game can have on an individual off the field. The game can teach and develop many like skills such as teamwork, communication, discipline, humility and sportsmanship.
"Today's Preparation Determines Tomorrow's Success" is a motto the Detroit Lions Football Education Division truly believes in, and ultimately lives by. This belief applies to both children and adults. This belief applies on the field, and off the field. It applies in the classroom, at home, in the workplace and in the community. We believe it applies to everyday life.
In addition to the motto above, the Detroit Lions organization lives by a set of core values that can apply to both individuals and organizations:
