Lions assigned DE Mitchell Loewen via waivers from New Orleans Saints

Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced today that they have been assigned DE Mitchell Loewen via waivers from the New Orleans Saints. In addition, the club announced that they have placed DT A'Shawn Robinson (knee) on Reserve-Injured.

Loewen comes to Detroit after spending the past three seasons (2016-18) with New Orleans where he appeared in three games, including one in 2018. He originally entered the NFL in 2016 with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas.
