Lions add Steve Gregory to coaching staff as defensive assistant

Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced today the following update to the coaching staff:

STEVE GREGORY – DEFENSIVE ASSISTANT COACH
Gregory, who played eight seasons as a defensive back in the NFL for San Diego (2006-11) and New England (2012-13), originally joined the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Syracuse. While at Syracuse, he played wide receiver and cornerback for the Orange from 2002-05. Gregory began his coaching career in 2015, when he returned to his alma mater as a special teams quality control coach. He earned a bachelor's degree in marketing and finance from Syracuse.
