Football Clinics

Community Clinics
Youth Football Clinics provide fundamental football education on quarterback, running back and wide receiver play. Clinics are conducted on a year-round basis for your youth football organization, Parks & Recreation department, Community Education department, fitness facility or health club. These 75 minute clinics provide a good foundation of key fundamentals! Boys & girls ages 6-12 are eligible to participate.

Mini-Clinics take place at Ford Field at the conclusion of a Ford Field Tour conducted by SAFE management. Bring your school class, scout group, summer day camp or birthday party to Ford Field to throw and score touchdowns on the same field the Lions play on! Mini-Clinics are 30 minutes long and conducted for a minimum of 25 participants. Mini-Clinics held: Year-round

Parent-Child Clinic
The Parent-Child Football Clinic is an entire day of playing, learning, and watching the game of football with your child both on and off the field prior to a Lions regular season home game. Parent-Child Clinics include a 75-minute interactive, offensive football fundamentals clinic on the field prior to the teams taking the field, group picture on the field, chalk talk/Q & A session/game analysis, the opportunity to try on a pro football player’s equipment, food and beverage, clinic T-shirt and one game ticket. Clinic held: Once every regular season.

Skill Development Sessions
Detroit Lions Skill Development Sessions (SDS) are one-hour sessions that include detailed, one-on-one, position-specific instruction. Video analysis allows for individual evaluation and comparison which aids in the overall player development. Participants receive a DVD of their SDS for future evaluation. Skill Development Sessions are conducted year round and can be held at a mutually agreed upon location or at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions (based on availability)!
