2016: Hauled in four catches for 85 yards in his Lions debut Week 1 at Indianapolis (9/11).
2015: Rebounded from his season-ending injury in 2014 to start 13 of 16 games in his final season in Cincinnati. Finished the season with career highs in receptions (65) and receiving yards (816) and also tallied four touchdowns.
2014: Missed the first three games of the regular season with a foot injury. Injured his ankle upon returning to practice in late September and was placed on Reserve/Injured for the remainder of the season.
2013: Played in all 16 games (three starts) for the first time in his career, hauling in 51 receptions for 712 yards and a career-high 10 touchdowns. Also carried the ball eight times for 65 yards. In the Bengals’ postseason game, had a big day with eight receptions for 130 yards.
2012: As a rookie, appeared in 11 games with five starts and totaled 18 receptions for 201 yards and one touchdown. Missed five games due to a knee injury.
COLLEGE
Played four seasons (2008-11) at California, seeing action in 43 games, and had all 38 of his starts in last three seasons. His 156 career receptions tied for seventh in school history, his 2,270 yards ranked sixth and his 13 receiving touchdowns tied for eighth.
PERSONAL
A native of Fontana, Calif., Jones attended Etiwanda High School where he made the California Top 25 prospect list by Rivals.com. Played cornerback and wide receiver as a prep star, totaling 144 receptions, 2,349 yards and 22 touchdowns, as well as 133 tackles and seven interceptions over his final two seasons.
It's still early, but it looks like the Matthew Stafford-Marvin Jones connection is going to be a strong one.
