Biography
Dakota Duncan enters his eighth season with the Lions, and second as Area Scout.

Originally joining the franchise as a scouting assistant in 2018, Duncan served as BLESTO Scout from 2021-23, focusing on scouting all collegiate levels in the Midwest for Detroit.
In 2023, Duncan helped the personnel staff assemble a Lions roster that won its first division title since 1993 and advanced to their second-ever NFC Championship Game.
In his previous role as a scouting assistant, Duncan was involved in many of the personnel department's day-to-day operation, assisting with everything from the free agency process to film-tape production. Prior to being hired as a scouting assistant for the Lions, Duncan worked as the football equipment manager at the University of Maine and interned in Detroit's scouting department during the 2017 training camp and preseason.
A native of Greene, Maine, Dakota attended the University of Maine and worked as a football student assistant while completing his undergraduate studies. He graduated in 2017 with a degree in Biology and a Pre-Medicine concentration.
