After joining the Lions in 2018, Davidson enters his second season leading the team’s offensive line. With 25 years of NFL coaching experience, including 16 tutoring offensive linemen, Davidson came to Detroit after spending the 2017 season with the Denver Broncos. His impact in the trenches for Detroit in 2018 was immediately noticeable. In Week 3 of the 2018 season against the Patriots, Davidson’s unit helped pave the way for rookie RB Kerryon Johnson to rush for 101 yards, becoming the franchise’s first 100-yard rusher in 75 games. The offensive line went on to help put together a season-best, 248 rushing yards at the Miami Dolphins in Week 7. The performance on the ground marked the most rushing yards the Lions posted in a game since 249 rushing yards against the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 23, 1997.
