The 2022 NFL season marks Aubrey Pleasant's 10th as an NFL coach, and second with the Detroit Lions. With one of the youngest position groups in the NFL in 2021, Pleasant oversaw the responsibility of preparing a young Detroit secondary week in and week out, helping young players developmentally see expedient growth throughout the season. With the additions of undrafted rookies CBs A.J. Parker and Jerry Jacobs, each respective player led all NFL undrafted players in snaps on either offense or defense in 2021. Under Pleasant's mentorship, the young duo was the only duo of 2021 undrafted rookies to play at least 400 snaps on either side of the line of scrimmage (Parker 530, Jacobs 503).
