Lions awarded OL Andrew Donnal and CB Dee Virgin via waivers

Allen Park, Mich. -- The Detroit Lions announced today that they have been awarded OL Andrew Donnal (from Baltimore) and CB Dee Virgin (from Houston) via waivers.

In addition, the Lions announced that they have waived C Leo Koloamatangi and T Brian Mihalik.

Donnal comes to Detroit after playing in six games for the Baltimore Ravens in 2017. He began his professional career with the Rams (2015-16) after joining the team as a fourth-round draft selection (119th overall) in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Iowa. He has appeared in 27 career games (six starts).

Virgin joins the Lions after spending the 2017 season as a member of the Houston Texans practice squad. He entered the NFL last season with the Texans as an undrafted rookie free agent out of West Alabama.
