APPEARANCE GUIDELINES

Roary Appearance Guidelines

  • Completion of this request form is a request only and does not guarantee an appearance.
  • Appearance requests are handled on a first come first serve basis.
  • Requests will be booked no more than 3 months out from the scheduled request date and no less than 2 weeks from the request date.
  • If a request is submitted earlier than 3 months out, correspondence may not be received until closer to the 3 month window.
  • The full appearance fee must be paid no later than ten (10) business days prior to the event
  • An event is not placed onto Roary's calendar until payment has been made in full.
  • In the event a Detroit Lions event is scheduled after your event is confirmed and the Lions event conflicts with the same date and time of your event, Roary's appearance at your event may be subject to cancellation resulting in a full refund.
  • For any cancellation of an event made by the client within five (5) days of an appearance date, the appearance fee will not be refunded.

Event Date Guidelines

  • The client is responsible for providing the following for Roary at their appearance:
  • Parking close to the event
  • A secure changing location
  • A public restroom will not be considered an appropriate changing location
  • Please be sure no one will be entering or exiting the room while Roary is changing
  • If a large crowd is expected, please assign a responsible adult as a "bodyguard". Some kids might attempt to punch or hit Roary or pull his tail and we would like to be sure he is treated well
  • It is the responsibility of the client to let Roary know when the requested timeframe is finished for his appearance. Any overages taking place past that requested time will be charged to the client.
  • Any damage caused to the Roary costume at your event where repairs are necessary may be charged to the client.
  • Roary reserves the right to walk away from any appearance he deems harmful or unsafe.
  • Any advertising using the Roary name, picture, or likeness must be approved in advance by the Detroit Lions and the mascot coordinator.
  • The Detroit Lions request any photography/videography shot during the event featuring Roary be provided to the organization, preferably in a digital format.
  • The Detroit Lions retain the right to use any photography/videography taken during an event for promotional purposes.
