Anderson works directly with Lions Head Coach Matt Patricia on all aspects of football operations, while continuing to provide support to Executive Vice President and General Manager Bob Quinn on executing the team’s wide-range of football operations initiatives.

In addition to supporting the head coach and general manager, Anderson works closely across all football support staff groups to ensure an efficient day-to-day operation of the team and serves as a primary liaison between football and business departments. He also oversees all renovation and enhancement projects to the Lions training facility in Allen Park.

Prior to Detroit, Anderson spent 10 seasons with the New England Patriots, where he held a variety of roles within football operations. He also became the team’s Director of Player Development in 2011 and held that position for his final five seasons. During his time in New England, the Patriots won nine division titles, three conference championships, and were champions of Super Bowl XLIX.

Anderson’s involvement in player development began in 2006, his first season with the Patriots, when he assisted athletes with their transition into the NFL and provided support both during and following their careers. A core focus was his rookie acclimation and development program, which included a diverse curriculum of life skills training and financial education. As part of the football operations department program, Anderson assisted in the execution of all logistical aspects of mini-camps, training camp and team travel, which included conference championship games, Super Bowls, international games, joint practice sessions, and extended in-season road trips.

Before joining the Patriots, Anderson earned a degree in sport management from Indiana University, where he also worked as a football operations assistant for the Hoosiers. The Indianapolis native also interned with the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans.

Anderson married his wife, Nicole, in June 2016.
